{ Impression Obsession Designer Die Hop Day 2 }

Welcome to day two of our Impression Obsession Fall Designer Die Hop!

Here is my card.

Wonderful by Daniela Dobson

I was trying to go with just the tag, but it was missing something, so I turned it into a card. The background is stamped with Herringbone. I made the tag from white cardstock. I really liked the Bushel of Apples die so I die cut a bunch of apples. Then I added leaves from Oak Leaves and Rake and pumpkins from Pumpkin Patch. I did start with the grass from Sm. Grass die and made it look like the basket was sitting there.
The sentiment is from You Made My Day stamp set. Some of the cardstock that I have in my stash has an adhesive background (grass) which helped adhering the small pieces. For everything else I like to use Zots Adhesive Dots from Therm O Web. They are really tiny, called Zots for Bling. The tag is popped up with 3D foam Squares from Therm O Web. Love the dimension and I was able to tuck in those banners that I hand cut from cardstock.

{ Impression Obsession Designer Die Hop Day 1 }

Welcome to the Impression Obsession Fall Designer Die Hop!

We have some beautiful new dies to share AND Gift Certificates to give away!

Here is my card.

Perk up by Daniela Dobson

For this card I used Takeout Coffee Cup. It turns out I don’t own any coffee stamp sets. I know, I can’t believe it either. I did manage to find the sentiment Perk Up. We have plenty to choose from in our store.  Since today is National Coffee Day I wanted to participate in Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

For the gift card I used Gift Card Insert 2 die that I die cut from a sticker. I didn’t take a photo without the card, oops. I used baby powder to remove the sticky and just applied my own adhesive.
This bright paper collection is Basic Grey and I die cut the adorable cup from the same collection. I used 3D foam squares to pop up the cup.  I splattered come color shine and added some pearls to finish the card.

{ Technique Tuesday Memory Keepers Studio - Sept. 2014 and blog hop winner }

Hello and happy Monday. What is everyone up to this week? What projects are you working on? I am not a project life girl, even though I did attempt it once when it was still brand new, back in 2009. It was called Project 365. You can see the start of my album here.

Now I just make story cards that I include on my layouts.

If you are looking for inspiration using our Memory Keepers Studio - Sept. 2014 stamp set and steel dies I created some Story cards.

Perfect picture cards by Daniela Dobson

I die-cut the frame with the Perfect Picture steel dies and then placed the picture right in the opening. The base is Story Card DIY Die and I stamped “love this” with the Perfect Picture stamp set.

Smile card by Daniela Dobson

I used the Perfect Picture stamp set to stamp on the frame cut with the Heart Card steel dies. The stamping really makes the Story Card seem a lot more personalized. I added vellum and Story Card DIY Die as a base and stitched around the edges to make a shaker card.

Favorite story card by Daniela Dobson

For this last one I stamped the words all over the front and added some embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by during our blog hop. I have a winner ----->>>> Tammy Nyenhuis! You have to email me so we can get that stamp set out to you.

{ Technique Tuesday blog hop }

This is my second blog post today. See my Impression Obsession card below.

Hello and welcome to Technique Tuesday blog hop.  We are showcasing some new stamps from our Summer release.

I created my card using a new stamp set called Christmas Cheer.

Happy Holidays by Daniela Dobson

I just love the font in this stamp set. I heat embossed “happy holidays” on vellum with white embossing powder. Then, I heat embossed the stars and hearts right under it with red embossing powder. You can’t tell in the photo, but the red embossing powder sparkles. I got it many years ago at a stamp convention. The little holy berries are colored with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft big brush markers and stamped.

I used a brand new collection from Elle’s Studio called Good Cheer. It will be available in the store soon.

Happy holidays close by Daniela Dobson

I used Mojo Monday 363 for this card.

Our challenge starts today, September 18, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, September 24, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between September 18- 24. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

Thankful by Daniela Dobson

I die cut the pumpkin from polka dot paper and added some watercolor and chalk. I wanted to give it some dimension. The tag that I created and cut with the Silhouette is stamped with my favorite Wood Grain cover-a-card background stamp.

I layered several different chipboard stickers from my old stash again, American Crafts and Sassafras Lass.  If you are looking for Sassafras Lass Emma’s Paperie has some in their store. I splattered the card with some paint. The sentiment is from our new So Very Thankful stamp set by Kalani Allred. I liked the card inspiration from The Cutting Edge challenge 10 with all the layers and created lots of layers on this card.

That is all from me. Make sure you check out what the rest of our DT created.

I hope you play along.

{ Thankful for you and free Silhouette cut files }

The winner from my stamps giveaway never claimed the prize so I picked a new winner - Sue VanDeVusse!

I saw a cute, fall kit posted on Instagram from Martha Bonneau and I wanted it. They sold out pretty fast. She has several different ones in her shop if anyone is interested. I love fall colors and to my surprise, I don’t have many fall items. I looked through several drawers of “old” stuff and found some items I could use on this card. By old stuff, I mean, old. Making Memories Autumn Splendor glitter spiral journal book circa 2009 and 7Gypsies Frames & Tags, circa 2007.

Grateful by Daniela Dobson

I added bits and pieces from her kit and decided I wanted a pocket with a tag. I didn’t have anything like that so I made my own in Silhouette Studio. I used the Gift Card Holder as a starting point and changed some things around. See bottom of this post for a free download.

The leaf, sentiment and leaf die are from Technique Tuesday I Give Thanks stamp set and I Give Thanks - DIY Steel Die.

Grateful close by Daniela Dobson

This is what it looks like with the tag pulled out a but. It has a decorative top. I made several different ones. The alpha stickers are from Elle’s Studio.

***These Silhouette Studio files are created by me, and are for personal use only. If you use my designs, please give proper credit and link back to my blog and/or original file.***

Pocket with tags by Daniela Dobson

There are 4 tags that fit into the pocket. The one without the hole can have a tab added or a piece of ribbon stapled. The rectangle one on the far right can be used as a liner for the tag pocket base. I will make another project so you can see it in action.

I hope you like it. Enjoy!

{ Exclusive September kit from Elle’s Studio }

Exclusive September is ready for purchase now.

Design team gallery is FULL of brand new inspiration just for you. You can bookmark your favorites, leave comments and see close ups of our design team’s projects in our gallery. Visit Elle’s Studio Blog for links to other Contributing DT members.

Here is what I created with the September kit, stamps and cut files.

I had lots of fun with this kit.

Remember this by Daniela Dobson

I cut the circle file with my Silhouette Cameo. This is the original size and it matches the cork one. I used yellow cardstock because I have lots of yellow for some reason. Anyway, I primed my white cardstock with gesso and after it was dry I taped down the template.

Elle's Sutdio circle cut file mask Daniela Dobson

I used Whipped Spackle from Faber Castell Design Memory craft to add texture. The whipped spackle is just like modeling paste, except it’s very light. You can even see that I ripped the paper when I removed the tape. Not to worry.

Whipped Spackle Daniela Dobson

I painted around all the spackle with watercolor paints. Simple as that. I stitched the paper down because it was warped from the water. I used plain, cheap cardstock from Michaels. I used My Favorite Stamp set to stamp the circles in back ink.

I added these fun Fancy Pants buttons and enamel dots I got from Emma’s Paperie. The cork hearts are one of the miscellaneous bits that are available for purchase. I cut the stack of books from one of the tags and adhered it to the layout with 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web. I couldn’t find a place for the full tag so this was perfect.

Remember this close 2 by Daniela Dobson

I tucked several hand drawn circles and leaves I created in Silhouette Studio. I stamped around the page with slanted lines stamp in orange and green ink. This is such a fun kit!!  I love it.

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Beautiful stamped backgrounds!

Our challenge starts today, September 4, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, September 10, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between September 4 - 10. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

While I was thinking about what to do for this challenge I remembered this awesome Cover-a-card background stamp called Cover-a-Card Ornate Floral.

Thanks so much by Daniela Dobson

I wasn’t sure how it was going to look stamped in black ink, but I was going to give it a try.

Thanks so much background by Daniela Dobson

I colored the white parts with my watercolor paints.

Watercolor background by Daniela Dobson

For the sentiment, I used one of the brand new dies Greetings Top Edgers. I die cut it from black glitter paper. I layered it over a piece of white cardstock covered with washi tape. As a final touch I added enamel dots to the flowers.
What do you think?

Thanks so much close by Daniela Dobson
