{ February Studio AE Sneak Peek and a layout }

Here is my little peek for February Studio AE.
What do you think?

Here is one more layout I created with January Studio AE.

I combined Bring On The Love stamp set with several digital files that I cut using my Silhouette Cameo. The Large heart is from Heart 4 U set by Laina Lamb. The Circle Page Pieces Digi Kit includes page and card mats, frames, accents and borders. I cut several borders and used bits and pieces here.

I stamped “lots of love for you” on cardstock with Clearsnap ColoBox Pigment Ink in Moss Green. I cut it out and layered it over Elle’s Studio tags and attached it to the page with The Paper Studio brad.

Love you is from DigiKit – Card Words: Love by Kristina Werner. The stamped sentiments were stamped with ColorBox Pigment Ink in Cranberry.
I have been using Sticky Dot Runner by Therm O Web to adhere the small Silhouette Cameo cuts. This one, I stitched in addition to the adhesive.

Have a great day.

I have a ton of new projects to share with you using all new products from Technique Tuesday, Impression Obsession, Clearsnap and Therm O Web.

Don’t forger that NEW DigiKits are released every Tuesday at Two Peas In A Bucket. For those working on Project Life, we have lots of journaling cards. Did you get to download this FREE one by Erica Hernandez?

{ Cookie love layout }

I wanted to share my layout that I made for Clearsnap blog. I used all the new Mix’d Media Inx and embossing powders by Donna Salazar.

Cookie love 41566

I am using Stylus Molding Mat Game Board and Moorish Tiles to stamp all the hearts using Mix'd Media Inx: Chiffon, Peridot, Denim, Leather and Honey. The hearts were cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

I have step by step photos on Clearsnap blog on how I created the layout.

I even designed the little heart border in my Silhouette Studio.

I hope you get a chance to visit Clearsnap blog for all the details.

Clearsnap is having an awesome giveaway on their Facebook page. There is still time to enter and they are picking 2 winners. Make sure you visit the Facebook page to enter.

Have a great night.

{ CardMaker Kit-of-the-Month Club product review }

I was asked recently to review CardMaker Kit-of-the-Month Club.

1814688_CoverB_WithMarkups

These are examples of some cards that you can make with your first kit called Friendship Blooms.

- When members join, their first kit is over 1/2 off the usual price-- $7.99 (plus postage & handling)
- Members will receive 5 free gifts along with their first kit--a zippered carrying pouch, a bone folder, embossing and piercing tool, a "created by" stamp, and an acrylic block.
- Kits will be sent about every month at the cost of $16.99 (plus postage & handling) (This is a great deal when you think of what you pay for one card in the store---and you can make 8-10 with the kit!)
- There is NO minimum purchase and members can cancel at ANY time.
- They offer a 100% guarantee of satisfaction.

Each kit includes exclusive materials to make 8-10 cards such as:
o Quality card blanks and envelopes
o Printed papers
o Die-cut sheets
o Decorative stickers or rub-ons
o Clear acrylic or self-cling rubber stamps
o Color-coordinated ribbon and embellishments like brads, buttons, glitter, pearls, rhinestones, flowers, and more!
o A full-color, step-by-step instructions

Each kit teaches a fun technique like embossing, stenciling, quilling, iris folding, specialty card folds, and simple layering techniques.

This first kit focuses on techniques like sanding, stamping, pop ups and glitter accents. All the techniques and instructions are printed and include color photos.

A different kit features masculine colors/themes and fun flap fold design. The techniques in this kit are all about faux sewing, scoring, layering and stamping.

Here are some other points to remember:

  • None of the kits or kit components is sold in retail – they are sold exclusively to members of CardMaker Kit Club!
  • Each kit features an occasion like birthdays, thank-you cards, friendship, etc.
  • Each kit teaches a fun technique like embossing, stenciling, quilling, iris folding, specialty card folds, and simple layering techniques
  • There is also an instructional video for the first kit and for using the free gifts. http://www.cardmakerkitclub.com/video.html
  • To view a gallery of kits, go to: http://www.cardmakerkitclub.com/project_gallery.php

The CardMaker Kit of the Month Club would be perfect for someone just getting into cardmaking. Everything is color coordinated, packed full of products and ready to go.

The CardMaker Kit is perfect to take to a crop or a friends house and have a card making party.

I like that there are new techniques introduced each month and there are photos and steps to follow in the instruction booklets. The acrylic stamps that come in the kit are a great addition and you can use them over and over again.

Even if you are not a beginner, the CardMaker Kit would be great for you as well. I saw this kit as an opportunity to make my own creations, to use kit as it, or to add to it from my own stash.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Oldie but a Goodie with a video }

Hi and welcome to another Impression Obsession challenge.

Our next challenge, "Oldie but a Goodie", starts today, January 19, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, January 25, at 10 PM. If you would like a chance to win free stamps, get busy out there, then post creation at the bottom of the post on Impression Obsession Blog, between January 19 - 25, using Inlinkz.

Here is my card.

I used some really old stamps. The Wired Birdcage I had for a long time, but I love it and use it. The Cover-a-Card Wallpaper rubber stamp is so pretty. I used new ColorBox Scentz Embossing Powder: Lemonade to heat emboss the background on the tag. The embossing powder really smells like Lemonade and it lasts up to 2 weeks after embossing.

I have a video below to show you how I made the card, if you are interested in seeing my process. It did take me 25 minutes to complete this card, but don’t worry, I made this one super fast. I hope you like it.

I added watercolor crayons to the cage and then glitter on top of that. The butterflies are stamped with ColorBox Mix’d Media Inx: Chiffon and heat embossed using the same color embossing powder. The Butterfly Bliss stamp set is one of my first sets from Impression Obsession.

The Mix’d Media Inx stay wet for a long time and the embossing powder sticks really well.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!
