{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Happy Birthday to You }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. Make a card (or a project) using Impression Obsession stamps and post a link to your creations on our challenge post at Impression Obsession blog. If you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Today we have one more chance to win a $25 gift certificate. Here is how.

The next Happy Birthday we are celebrating all month long, belongs to Operation Write Home as of September 12, 2007. You can read all about it HERE. To help them celebrate we are having a Blog Hop for TODAY ONLY and we will be having a second drawing for a $25 Gift Certificate for use in our ONLINE STORE.

Please go to the Impression Obsession blog  for all the details.

Here is my card.

I stamped the die cut with Cover-a-card Spatter CC059 in Clearsnap ColorBox Dye Ink: Mermaid. Isn't that Spatter background stamp the best? It gives you perfect Spatter every time. Large Solid Leaf Stem E8633 is stamped with the same Mermaid ink and cut out. I added a little flower and a sentiment stamp from Let Them Eat Cake CL329 stamp set.
All the links are at the bottom of the page.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!
***Don't forget to link your projects on Impression Obsession blog.

Technique Tuesday Printables Blog Hop

Hi everyone!
I’m a Stamping Tech for Technique Tuesday, and I’m excited to be taking part a blog hop with my fellow stamping pals!

Today, all of us are playing with the new Printables Technique Tuesday recently debuted at the scrapbook conventions they go to. These three printed sheets (Candy Cane Wishes, Harvest Time and Hocus Pocus) consist of designs you can cut up and use to decorate cards, scrapbook pages and other fun paper crafted projects. They will be available through TechniqueTuesday soon.

Here is my card.

For my background I used Flurry stamp set and I stamped the snowflakes with Clearsnap ColorBox Archival Dye Ink: Mermaid. Everything else I cut from the printable sheet Candy Cane Wishes. I cut up the square piece into three sections to make it look like hills. I used 3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web for the snowman.

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s blog hop.

From the comments received on all the blogs, we will pick one lucky person to win Technique Tuesday’s Verbose stamp set.
This is our way of saying thanks for your comments! You don’t need to comment on all the blogs to be eligible to win. But the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win!

Comments must be posted by midnight on Sept. 2, 2011. The winner will be announced on Sept. 3rd sometime on the Technique Tuesday blog.

Thanks for joining us today!

{ September Studio AE sneak peek and a layout }

Here is my first sneak peek created with Technique Tuesday's September Studio AE.
I was asked to join the Studio AE design team and I will be sharing more projects using Studio AE stamps.

Here is a  layout I created with Technique Tuesday stamps. It was a little conversation I had with Alex about his favorites!
I used some new papers that I got from October Afternoon and We R Memory Keepers. I love stars and there are plenty on this page. The little stamped stars are from Kids Are Cool stamp set...see the product links below.

I used Urban Blueprint stamp set for the title. I heat embossed clear embossing powder and sprayed the letters with October Afternoon mist. The tile was cut with my Cricut Expression.   I love using my Super Stik Glue Stick by Therm O Web for small titles like this.
I stamped "i just" and "you are my greatest joy" above and under the title with Clearsnap ColorBox Premium Dye Ink in Strawberry.

That is all from me for tonight.
Thank you for joining us in Clearsnap and Scor-Pal blog hop the other day. I appreciate all the wonderful comments I received about my little mini album!

Today I am sharing with you how to create this mini album.

I started this mini album by tracing a "template" on pattered paper. I had this template for years, and I got it at a scrapbook convention. Here is a Mini 4x4 template that is very similar.
I used my Scor-Buddy to score all the lines for folding. I used Super Stik Glue Stick to adhere the chipboard to the patterned paper. I cut and scored the inside edges of the album.

I punched a strip of patterned paper, lined it up along the top of Scor-Buddy and scored between each scallop. I used  a Jumbo Zots Adhesive Dot to hold the fan fold flower together. This was my first time trying to make the flower and it was pretty easy with the Scor-Buddy.
 Next, I used the 1/8" grooves on the Scor-Buddy to score my white cardstock. I cut a heart out and inked the top with Clearsnap ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink: Toffee. Later, I sprayed the heart with Smooch Spritz in Cosmic Pink.

I used Clearsnap ColorBox Dye Ink: Pinkolicious to stamp the frame that I cut out. After it was cut out I scored it the same way as the heart, using the 1/8" grooves. The top is inked with Toffee ink to define the groves. I really like the way that turned out.

After the inside pages were scored and assembled I stamped each page with an image using Clearsnap ColorBox Pigment Stamp Pad: Chestnut.
The photos are from our Summer Honeymoon in Tahiti (Bora Bora and Moorea).
