{ Technique Tuesday All Stamping Tech challenge }

A quick little card I made the other day for our all Stamping Tech challenge using Technique Tuesday Perspectives patterned paper.

Here is my card.

I stamped the chipboard star from Fundamental Superstar with polka dots from Passion For Polka with Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I painted the star with Watercolor Crayon - Scarlet 70.
The sentiment is from Kids Are Cool by Ali Edwards that I stamped with Lipstick Red Clearsnap ink and cut out. The seam binding is from Technique Tuesday, as well. They sell it at the Scrapbook Expo and  Creating Keepsakes Convention.

You can see some other Stamping Tech examples here.

{ Stamping with Watercolor Crayons }

I finally got to play with my new crayons from Technique Tuesday. I used a paintbrush to wet my  polka dots stamp from Passion for Polka stamp set and then I colored over the stamp with the crayon and stamped. I love how bright it is!! I used Kraft cardstock for this card, but it's even more vibrant on white

I stamped the house and the tree branch, from Home Tweet Home stamp set, on Technique Tuesday tile and colored the images with watercolor crayons! I love them. I ordered more colors and can't wait to play some more.

I used Spots Molding Mat with the Jumbo Get Rollin’ and Cookie Dough Ink to stamp my white cardstock.
I inked the chipboard frame with Atlantic Blue Ink. I inked the die cut doily edges with Dark Cherry ink.
Seam binding was dabbed with Dark Cherry ink and sprayed with Vanilla Shimmer Smootch Spritz for easier dyeing. I just place it in a small plastic bag and spray it with Smootch Spritz. That way all the color stays in the bag and is absorbed by the s

{ June Color Challenge }

My first assignment at Citrus Tree Studio is to do a color challenge. I love doing color challenges and I am really excited about this one.

Here is my challenge photo...taken several years ago in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I pulled the colors from the photo for my color swatches.

I used a mixture of products for this layout: My Mind's Eye patterned paper, Sassafras Lass and October Afternoon stickers, SEI and My Mind's Eye die cuts, Martha Stewart twine, Maya Road chipboard, Jenni Bowlin butterfly and some letter stickers.

My title base is a journaling note stamp from Impression Obsession called Journaling I that was stamped with Wood Grain Cover-a-card background.

I used my Sizzix star die cut for the denim star. I embossed the top of my Core'dinations cardstock with Fiskars texture plate. Do you remember those, they are plastic and have a different texture on each side. It adds perfect texture to the layout and it makes it look like "rain". After I embossed the lines I used my sand paper to reveal the core color.

If you would like to participate stop by our Challenge board for all the rules.

You have until July 5th at midnight to upload your layout to the June '11 Challenge area of the gallery and link a photo of it back to the challenge thread for a chance at that awesome paper pack!!

{ CR84FN Color Challenge 31 and Card Patterns sketch 118 }

Here I am again for the color challenge at CR84FN and Card Patterns Sketch.  I used Technique Tuesday stamps on my card.

I stamped the script from Verbose stamp set on my background with green ink. I used a little flower from Paisley Park stamp set for the borders. I followed the curved edge on pink cardstock and stamped the little flower to create the border. For my bottom border I stamped the flower on cardstock that I cut out to create the "scalloped edge".

I used our new watercolor crayons to color the "scalloped edge" and the hello sentiment from Sweet Somethings stamp set. I layered the doily and the flower with the brad on our chipboard tile that was inked withe green ink.

If you are looking for a fun little kit, check out our Citrus Tree Studio Jardin Brillante and Fruity Cutie Colors. I will be posting my finished projects this week. You can see my sneaks here.

Have a great day.
