{ 2 Sketches 4 You, Use It! challenge 4, Project 365 - Week 13 }

I used Kazan's sketch #23 for this week's Use It! challenge. I love going into my stash. I have so many beautiful papers that I haven't even touched.

The challenge: scraps of any kind, punches and/or die cuts, two or more different ribbons, one or more embellishments that you once loved and use a lot, but haven't used for a long time.

I used Making Memories and American Crafts patterned paper for my card and flowers. I used the scraps from the card to make the flowers. I used Fiskars apron lace punch and EK Success Swiss cheese punch. The second ribbon I folded and tucked between the flowers. Embellishments that I once loved and used are the big brads. I love the large flower and fabric covered ones by Imaginisce. The metal button is not really a brad, but it has 5 sharp prongs that poke through the paper and then I have to use a hammer to fold them back down. I bought them for a dollar somewhere and they are Marcella by Kay. I really like them and will have to use them again. I did not emboss anything this time, can you believe it?

I hope you check out the challenge and come and play with us!

{ Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - March }

I had so much fun last month with my first blog hop that I decided to do it again! The challenge: "we want to see all of your very best backgrounds. They can be multi-colored or monochromatic. Simple or elegantly detailed. They can be created with a set originated for that purpose or a reinvention of images that were not. Be sure to include a separate photo of your completed background BEFORE you add it to your project so we can see it in all its glory! "

I fell in love with the Simply Stationary set and I wanted to use it for this challenge. This is the set I picked after winning the blog hop last month!!! I played around to see what I like best. The brown center flower is from Wise Owl set. I just love the way this came out. My Guide Lines Two is on the way to me!

Supplies: Papertrey Ink paper, cardstock and stamps (Simply Stationary, Mega Mixed Messages, Wise Owl), Stampin' Up ink (Summer Sun and Close to Cocoa) Michaels ribbon, crochet flower (handmade by my mom), Karen Foster button, Sizzix die cut tag, Basic Grey brads, scalloped punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Here is my stamped background in progress and finished.

{ Use It! Challenge 3, 2 Sketches 4 You #22, Project 365 - week 12 }

I used Laura's sketch 22 for this card. Use It! Challenge this week:
- Use some eyelets
- Use something more that 1 year old
- Use something with polka dots!

I have so many eyelets and I was happy to use some on this card. The paper is American Crafts that I have in my stash. Not sure the exact age of it, but I know that Heidi Swapp journaling note is more than a year old. The ribbon is American Crafts, and the stamp is Close to my Heart. The little, adorable, sticker is from Michaels dollar bin that I got long time ago. I love these weekly challenges.

The yellow ink is Summer Sun, from Stampin' Up, new favorite. I used Martha Stewart punch for the border, Making Memories flower, sheer white ribbon from Michaels, Sizzix die cut tag and Cuttlebug embossing folder. Have a great Monday !

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge #16 - Friendship, 2 Sketches 4 You }

A FRIEND © Breena C. Park
A friend is like a flower, rose to be exact, Or maybe like a brand new gate that never comes unlatched. A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise. Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies. A friend is like those blades of grass you can never mow, standing straight, tall, and proud in a perfect little row. A friend is like a heart that goes strong until the end. Where would we be in this world if we didn't have a friend.

I had to find a cute little poem since our challenge is Friendship. I am using Kazan's sketch #22 for my card. I have been using my American Crafts paper stash all week, trying to use it up. I used Flowers and Friendship stamp set for the beautiful quote and the flowers.

I created my "sun" with the large scalloped circle stamp from Circle Elements #1 stamp set. I stamped the little dots border, from Lucky Ladybugs set, for the sun's rays. The smaller scalloped circle and the flower center is from Circle Elements set, as well. They are stamped on white cardstock and cut out. I wanted to create dimension with the circle center and for that I used foam adhesive. The flowers are stamped and cut out. I colored them with soft pastel pencils.

I hope you can take a little time to blog-hop to see the beautiful creations by the other Impression Obsession designers: Kelli, Dina, Julie, Laura , Tina, Shirley and Michelle.

{ CPS #107, Use It! challenge 2, Project 365 - week 11 }

I used CPS #107 to make today's Use It! challenge 2 card. The challenge this week is: •use spring colors on your card •use at least 4 flowers •use a tag.

I grabbed an old kit bag filled with American Crafts paper. I love these colors. The flowers are die cut from a glitter foam visor hat that I got from Shanna in her blog giveaway. She bought them at Michael's (last year) and they come in different colors. I used Sizzix die cut flowers. The large flower is cut from American Crafts patterned paper. I added a journal tag (Elle's Studio) to the center and a stamped sentiment. For the bottom of the card I used a Stampin' Up roller stamp. I am using it for the first time and I love it! The ribbon is American Crafts, too, and I hand stitched it with some floss. I bought the ribbon at Michael's for a dollar. It comes in green, blue, purple and pink.

Project 365 - week 11.

3.9 - Alex can open all the doors in the house except the front door. He has been doing this for several weeks now.3.10 - aren't these pants cute? He likes to throw the books down and then put them back on the shelf. 3.11 - having a glass of milk. 3.12 - he is playing with his elephant toy that blows butterflies through his trunk. He doesn't like to catch the butterflies in the net, but he likes to pick them up and put them back so we can start all over again. 3.13 - a photo after our trip in the cold and the rain to a play center that was closed because it was full. 3.14 - opening and closing the CD player. 3.15 - taking a bath.

Wow, 11 weeks!

{ CPS # 106 }

Here is my card for CPS # 106. It's been cloudy all week and taking photos is not easy when there is no sun.

I heat embossed the butterfly from Lucky Ladybugs stamp set on my card background. The leaves are die cut from Graphic 45 patterned paper and then I cut out some circles and made flowers out of them. I added Basic Grey brads and some buttons. Thank you sentiment is from Mini Messages set. Come and check out the new Impression Obsession Blog. Shirley is going to be sharing her beautiful projects and techniques.Here are some cards I made for Embellish-Online.com. I am trying to use up my 6x6 Bittersweet paper pad from Basic Grey . Remember all these projects I did, well, I still have paper left over. I made this card for Friday Free For All Challenge at Embellish-Online.com. The challenge was to embellish chipboard. I covered my chipboard flower with Stickles. I am using new Marrakech paper by Basic Grey.

It's really cold and rainy around here, I hope it's warmer where you are.
